FAMILY IS RICH

Hello friends,

My time of vacation is winding down here in Mo. I thought I would show a few pictures of my nieces and nephews. I told my sister one time it is a zoo when I am at her house. When you have multiple children and abilities, someone is always doing something. Having them at the SAME TIME would give me hope they all would grow up at the same rate. You move on to the different stages of life at the SAME TIME. But... most of us haven't had that privilege of having multiples and we have them ONE AT A TIME. Each their own, cute, funny, different and unique. Life is rich when all the kids are at home and activity is sure to bring someone crying, laughing or just all around the table. (which gets harder as they older!!)

With out further delay, here are a few pictures of all the children including my own.... 6 kids running around.
Plus one cow~! actually one of the many!

MUG SHOTS

Hello Friends,

I have blogged about almost everyone in my family, except my brother. Did you know I had one?

Yes, he is 6 years older than me. That's about a whole school older than me. When I was starting K he was in Middle school, when I started Jr. High he was graduating. It was at that time, he joined the Navy.

I can remember bits and pieces of this time. I was more into sports and high school then. He did a tour of duty overseas and did his 4 years then came home. I thought I would show the 'military' men of my family.

My mom actually pointed it out with her 'wall of pictures' she has. If you think I LOVE pictures, I got that from my mom. Here is a picture of Ken when he was younger and Jed for their MUG shots for UNCLE SAM.
Also, my grandfather was in WW2. He is my fathers father. We now have 3 generations of someone being in the Military. My grandfather which I was very little when he passed away is the name we picked out for Micah's middle name, (Stewart) Duckworth. He is a handsome man poising in this picture.

enjoy!

Military life can be good!

MOTHER DAUGHTER

Hello Friends,

I'm in the land of the frozen wasteland as my husband calls it. Actually I like to refer to it as my birth place. I spent the night with my mom last night. She has the fastest DSL of all of us. I think it is faster than mine at home.

We were out playing last night in the back yard. Of course, there are plenty of memories to be had there. Now, I'm playing ball with my youngest and had to show him a few of my fun memories. In MO., they get their gas thru the propane tanks, the 'whale' of big ones....

Not to be confused with the skinny ones that stand up. The kind where you can play horse on them. It is as big as a hippo wide. I got Josh up there and snapped a few. I have one of him when he was like 2 months on my sisters who painted hers red, white and blue. PERFECT FOR HIM. My moms is a pale blue. The creativity you can do with gas tanks! We are missing out!!

Then we gave the camera to him and he took one of me and mom or MEME! I'm not sure who would of us if he couldn't! He's getting better and better!!

So... here is our photo shoot!

A GREAT PRESIDENT

I promised my mom I would post some photos from her visit to Ronald Regan's library.

She really enjoyed the visit. My brother flew out to CA to tour with them. My mom has a 'friend' she visits with from time to time and they went all together.

The amercian public saw much of it when you saw the funeral on TV when Pres. Reagan passed away. I personally have not gone to CA but would love to see the valley places and the ocean. One day~~ for now I will have to see the photos and the web.

LND REPONDS

the great LND has left a new comment on your post "TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME~~":

LOL that is so funny! I'm LND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well LNS now but i am honored that he would have such a great opportunity to wear the helmet of a mighty legend...Oh the stories that helmet could tell if only it could talk...why i remember one time I had that helmet on and when i whacked that ball off the tee my oh my how it soared in the air and i took off a runnin' and would you know i was running to third instead of first! Everyone in the crowd was screaming and telling me to go to first so i took off running to first but of course i went totally backwards...I may not have given the team a run that day but i sure did them a laugh!

Ha ha ha...my oh my those were the days..... :) hope you enjoyed my story :)

Grandma' Dolls

May I direct your attention to the picture on your right. I entitled it Grandma's Dolls.
In fact, my grandmother made all those dolls. Or at least the pattern and cut them out. My mother might of finished a few of them. Her pattern the 'big-eyed" dolls were her creation.
Each of the girls, whether you were a granddaughter, daughter or a great granddaughter has one of those dolls. This past Christmas, my mother wanted us to have one group picture with us and 'our' doll. Mine dates back to when I was a little girl. My mother has had hers for years too.
She is one of 6 girls growing up and they all have a doll. Just a piece of legacy to remember you are in a family who cares!! We had a blast taking the picture. Quite an accomplishment to get everyone including little people to look one direction. So, what do you have in your family that is an legacy??? When I look at my doll and her cute clothes, I can think of a grandmother who gave birth to my mother and who in return gave birth to me and now to a daughter I gave birth to.

one who will take better care of my doll who has no name.
