Hello Friends and Family
Here is a recap on Jed since he has been home. The photo is one I took over the weekend in Mo.
He arrived home last Thursday. Hard to believe it's been one week, 7 days of his 18 days leave.
We were concerned he wouldn't make it home in time to go to MO. for our annual Thanksgiving dinner there, but he did. When he was here that night, he was just walking around touching things, observing life around here. I have tried to tell him on email over the past 6 months the goings on of the household so he would feel a part of it. Still, there is time to adjust to everything around the household. The next morning, as we fixed breakfast he was amazed at the real silverware. They eat everything on disposable plates and silverware. Just think, we take for granted the privilege to wash and dry our forks, knives and spoons.
We had a great time in Mo. Having three boys in the back seat was like old times. Only they are older!
Josh and Jed has a great time snuggling and telling stories. They were pretty funny.
The boys have been watching movies in the living room. It's funny to watch them interact with each other and just the joy of watching them from afar.
Jed is petty much relaxed right now. He still eats very fast, takes no crap from his brothers and demands for compliance especially for one brother. Every occasion I get, I ask him questions. I have thought of many over the past 6 months and wanted to make sure I get them out now! And especially how we can help him with 'supplies' in the future.
He is doing great! We are having a party this Sunday. Many will get to see him and wish him encouragement as he prepares to go back.
Liz
