Hello Friends
Wanted to tell you thank-you for the ones who came out and supported the outreach of the Bistro my son put together. There was a nice gathering.... close to a hundred people. It was good to see some friends we haven't seen in a while and making new ones, too. I have some pictures coming that someone else took, so I'll save those for later! I will post one of me kissing Jed. My little son must of drank a lot of sweet tea tonight. He is having a good time yelling and talking to his imaginary audience.
He will have to wind down soon!
I realized tonight, my children have grown into nice young men. This was my son's vision to minister to people. He used the simple tools of showing us how to cook a cake the 'wrong' way to share the gospel.
You would of had to have been there for his Rachel Ray routine. It was quite funny! You will never look at crushed pecans the same way again !!!hahaha
After he 'made' the cake, he brought out the 'real' cake and we had Jed come up and we sang happy birthday to him. He was not expecting that. Next time, I will get a 'one' and 'nine' instead of 19 candles.
He was honored though and had a good time. I will send the recipe for his cake when I can get him to slow down. It was quite tasty!
So.. the moral of the story is .... when you are in the right place at the right time..... and helping people on your road where you live...... the results end in a dead deer!! Yes... Jed was coming home from the party and they stopped to help a guy where an unfortunate deer met the metal of the front end of the car they were helping. Does it get any better than this in 'deer season'?
They now have a deer. That's two for Jed and company this time. Hunting is his passion!
I tell you.... my kids just keep rolling out the material.... and I keep typing.....
Have a great day!
Give kisses to your children freely!
Liz
