THE LION KING: BROADWAY PLAY

Hey Friends,
Do we look happy or what??
My picture could of been better, but my friend Teresa looks great!~! We asked a docent to snap this for us.
Our local support group where Teresa and I lead gave us tickets for a thankyou gift here in Memphis and we went and saw the Lion King at the Orpheum in down town Memphis. I'm not a usual down town person but the place it bustling with people. There are carriage rides, people walking everywhere. The play was absolutely fabulous...
The people became the animals. It's hard to describe just seeing all the colors, the creativity, the dancing, the singing... Did I mention they can dance and sing at the SAME time.?... It's a BROADWAY PLAY! Very good in all they did. Funny too.
I have never seen the animated version of this...but I knew of the story and had to ask a lot of questions.. you can follow along. The crowd went nuts with the opening number. Awesome animals/ actors. The Elephant was four people for each trunk coming up on stage from the main floor. He did have a little spill coming up on stage. But manage to upright the huge animal and finish the act. The Giraffes were the most amazing!~! wow!
Teresa and I so enjoyed our 'little date' with each other! We ran into some old friends outside the Orpheum, Katherine and her son, Nathan and I snapped that picture for you that know them. They said they 'saw' Teresa's hair!!!
If you get a chance to go... do so... they are showing Hairspray in November and have some children's plays also.
