HOW TO WASH A CAR WITH A THREE YEAR OLD

OKAY FOLKS,

I'm writing with experience here about how to wash a car WITH a three year old running around and wanting to help with everything. First, I have to sic myself into WANTING to get wet. Always seems easier said that really doing it. It's easier in the summer to get totally wet and not feel like a shriveling wet rat when you are done. So.... I told Josh, let's go wash the car, trying to act as excited as possible. (you could tell a three year old to climb a hill and they would jump up and down if you were excited) YEAH~~ so off we go, fill up the huge bowl and commence to wash the car. At first, everything was okay.. he would wet the car and I would wash the car and rinse. Then I had to convince him to give me the water hose after a while. He had lost interest in 'helping' me and wanted to play in the water. I continued to wash the car, he continued to sit in the bowl, run around and water everything in site. He loved it more when I would spray him. Only to find out he figured out how to spray me too~ We were both wet in the end. But, didn't I predict that in the beginning?

After doing my car, I did my sons car that badly needed it. You know it's bad when you are looking thru the window on the other side and see the water hose on the INSIDE OF THE CAR WITH A THREE YEAR OLD. Thats where I went 'screaming' STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!
Just for that split second it took me to get to the other side of the car - he managed to get the floor board soaked. Maybe he learned his lesson. After all he was 'helping' me wash the car.

Okay! got two cars washed, got totally wet, sprayed a three year old and life looks better~

Have you ever washed a car with a three year old???

Liz
