GREETNG FRIENDS
Today we did somthing special for the kids. We tooks them to Museums... that was fun. They got to ride the vans... we took public transportation. It was a real Romanina treat. We were dropped off at the bus station. How many people can you cram in a van? or about 18..... really... then all 18 of us caught the bus.. which was like ours in Memphis... some got to stand some got to sit. Our guides would tell us all of a sudden... lets go...go go go... we would be get off and walk to the next part.. riding a subway... I had some memories of riding one in Washington DC many many years ago. We waited just a short bit and got on... if it is crowded, you shoved your way in... if it's sparse... just wait.. more people will come.
There are two things you have to remember in Romania... you must be quiet or for us it's alot quieter.....they are not loud people out in public....
the second is, wear your deodrant.... you will be up against lots of different people all day, maybe even having to touch people to stand... very crowded...
Then you walk to your destination... very busy city and lots of cars.... we just flowed with the traffic....
We went to two different museusms... one local to the area and one outdoor.. more like a botanical gardens.... very nice~~
The kids most likely have never been to these and probably would never would.
Parents here work very hard and going on 'extra trips' would be wasteful. They just don't have the money. We were differently the tourists type today.
On our way back, we were again very hot, even the buses have air... hot bodies in a bus gets the air messed up~ There was a very nice man and his son. You are polite to ask if you can take a picture of them. This man knew some English.... We talked a little...I have included his photo. He told my daughter she has very beutiful eyes... then he took our picture with his very nice camera... very different than most Romanian folks.. they dont' ususally have nice cameras and talk to you...
The kid had a lot of fun... we were tuckered out when we arrived home. Had to take a nap and the kids did too~~
We will venture out again on Sunday... what a treat!!~ hope to buy something this time. We need to exchange our money to buy things... The missionary bought us ice cream and water today. Will show photo~~
Have a great day in America~
Drivers are the same.. crazy no matter where you go~
