Jed is pulling guard duty right now for 24 hours and he always has a different person with him.
My son's name is Jedidiah Lee Gallina. My husband picked that name from 2 Samuel 12:25. I thought it was different when he said it, but of course it has grown on me.
Now in our family we have another Jed. My niece got married 2 years ago to a Jed. When they were in pre-school together and I saw his name on a snack chart that many years ago. I thought, what a nice name. So, now in our family we say Jed G or Jed S. Or Jed or Jedidiah. We haven't gotten their pet names down just yet.
But.... back to the present....
Jed's guard friend he is with for 24 hours, his name is Jedidiah. Isn't that a hoot? We have had many pet names for Jed. I have always called him, Jeddie boy.... this guys pet name is Jeddie...
but.. in the Army.. they go by last names.. so it's unlikely they will get them mixed up.
I thought, what are the chances of two JEDS sitting side by side for 24 hours happen???
we'll it has.... not a common name but common enough that two unlikely people would meet.
