DOESN'T EVERYONE LIKE THE CAMERA IN THEIR FACE???



Hello Friends

Here at the start of the new year and my 2nd son must go back to where he came... THE ARMY

My daughter and I took him and his buddy who came in last night for a 9 hour layover to the bus station at 6 am this morning. I'll do anything for my children even in the pre dawn hours at 2o degrees. It was so cold. Did you know there are people moving at that time of hour on cold cold winter mornings????? I'm normally tucked safely into bed seeing sleep man before my eyes.

Anyhow.... His buddy Jullian B. came into town last night on a bus and spent his layover in a nice warm bed. Compliments of Jed. Jed slept on the couch. Of course I couldn't resist taking pictures of them at 11:30 pm last night. We even whipped out a photo album with Jed in them to show Jullian. They threatened to bring out the baby pictures but was to tired to get them :)

We had a wonderful visit with Jed. He will travel all day today and arrive tonight. They have to be in their barracks by midnight. I wouldn't want to be the guy who comes in at 12:01am.

Jed thinks they will be aroused earlier than their 4am call. They are fearing the Drill Instructor. What 'wonderful' words he will have to say to them. If I was there I would have to cover my ears!! I think the DI will savor the workout he will give them in the next few days.

It will be his scared duty to get them back to pre holiday shape. Do you think any of them exercised???

It took Jed a few days to relax and then he started enjoying his time at home. He got to go hunting, see his entire family on both sides of his mom and dad. He spent time with good friends, eat at the restaurant, play pool, sleep as late as he wanted and spend time with us here.

It was a mouthful~ A very full time~

If you have time to pray for him today between 1-4 pm (his long layover in Birmingham) then pray. He doesn't like that particular station. Then tomorrow if you are up at 4am... pray....

I will post his address so you can write him. He did say to send pictures and letters. NO packages yet.

Our next opportunity to see him will be Feb. 1-2nd. He has a 24 hour leave and will be able to see the Super Bowl. YIPPPEEE!!
