Just hearing that four letter word sends chills up my spine. We have had our share of fires and when I see it or smell it... I'm searching out the cause of it. Sort of like a dog on the hunt for a rat. Many of you know our shop outside our house had a fire. Pretty bad. No one was hurt but it was torched on the inside... the smoke damage was just as bad.
We've had fires out in the field, a fan catch on fire in the middle of the night... and we have had good fires of burning sticks..... that will have me standing guard over the ashes till I think it' s safe to leave them....... You wouldn't believe the times we've had the fire department come!
Today on the grill... my husband left it on for a purpose I think. All of a sudden, Micah yells, DAD THE GRILLS ON FIRE... of course we go running.... and there are flames shooting EVERYWHERE... fire loves oxygen.... the lid was shut... he was cleaning the grill.... but Micah was ready with the hose to douse it~ only to be told he wasn't needed! bummer!
What gets you running? storms, fire, kids choking, dogs getting run over, car wrecks in front of your house, unexpectant company........

Now unexpected company will get me running--without that level of adrenaline, as fires or kids choking or that kid screaming with real pain will get me running with my adrenaline pumping.
