THREE BOYS IN A CAR

Today I was reminded that boys do grow up. I have 4 boys, Paul 21, ~ Jed 17, ~ Micah, 15, and Joshua 3. We were in the car coming home. As usual in was late and Joshua was like Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He had just been Mr. nice guy bouncing along and as soon as we get out side, MOMMY, MOMMY, MOMMY , CRYING...... so, rules went into affect. Don't talk to him and don't touch him. This is the part that reminded me that boys do grow up. I reached back to hold Joshua's hand to calm him down, still crying mommy mommy most pitiful~~. That helped. Sitting next to him was Jed, is the same child that I used to have to hold his hand while he was holding his blanket. Such pity I gave to him. The very child who is still pestering Josh giving him no sympathy trying to get Joshua to laugh is the child I held 15 years ago. How time changes! Jed did calm him down and make him laugh. Having three boys in the car is not a usual for us. Jed doesn't usually go with us. He is usually in the car with the older brother who NEVER goes with us anymore. I thought tonight, it's not good to have all three in the car, or take a road trip with those three. But, one day, they will grow up and have a little boy and they will hold his hand. THEY DO GROW UP. I never hold Paul's hand anymore. He's a man!
