MY FIRST POST~~
The other day, I was napping and got awoke suddenly. Don't you hate that? My boys were running in my room telling me about a dump truck and wires. By their sudden screams I could tell I needed to get up NOW! I ran for the door and saw our phone lines all the way from the road was laying in our yard. A dump truck must of clipped our lines. The lines must of been sagging big time! When Paul arrived home right after that, he found our phone box in the ditch. The tension must of been pretty powerful to pop it off the house and ricochet it to the ditch. I immediately called the phone company and explained. They came within 2 hours and we were up and going. The phone guy was a little surprised to see all the damage. Did you know this guy's wife was born on the fourth of July??? You meet like people all the time~~~
So, I learned how our phone lines are strung from a pole across the road to a pole in our yard then to our house. A dump truck can do some damage.

I'm thankful for my phone.
You just never know what a day is going to bring, and while you can't sit
around fretting about what-ifs, it would be nice if you could be prepared
in some...

Isn't it funny how we're such slaves to our modern conveniences? BTW, the pic is supposed to be of YOU. How about the one with the new do? Karen
What's even worse is the CELL PHONE! Have you ever set it down and forgot where you placed it? Have you ever left home thinking that it was not with you? It is the very thing that makes me insane. Gotta have my cell phone.
It's not just our modern conveniences that we're enslaved by. If not our cell phones, it would be something else. Every generation has SOMETHING that must be had. By the way Liz, I'm glad you found this to occupy all that that spare time you find on your hands between raising the basketball team and keeping the house. Now you won't be bored! LOL
I can live without a house phone....in fact I have been since November! It is my mobile that I feel lost without! LOL
